Flash content not visible v0.4(.4)

Flash content is not visible in some browsers when using Leaflet Maps Marker Wordpress plugin and Uppod player (this is my case but other flash players behave the same way being embedded — even Youtube). In Chrome and IE it shows up just fine, has some issues in Opera and is not visible in Firefox. This bug occurs with Leaflet v0.4(.4) but it worked ok with v0.3. Sorry for a late response. It turns out Firefox hides Flash content if it's in windowed mode inside a transformed parent. You can fix this by adding wmode="transparent" to the object. Please try and let me know if it worked.

Many thanks mourner, adding this parameter was suggested my Robert, the developer of Leaflet Maps Marker Wordpress plugin, too. Yes, it works but as far as I know, it results in an extra load on the server, and I have 200 markers on a single map. If this could be of any help, here's a note – it was ok before Leaflet v0.4(.4) was released.

It was OK because the popup was positioned with top and left. In 0.4, it is positioned with transform translate in capable browsers to make popup animation on zoom more smooth.

Could you explain why transparent wmode results in extra server load? I'm not very familiar with Flash quirks.

Sorry, I'm not familiar with this stuff either. I can only rely on the Uppod flash player plugin and Mapsmarker plugin developers guidelines and advice. But let alone the Uppod – this problem persists if I embed the Youtube code (

Hi, I can reproduce the same bug, when adding iframe from youtube or vimeo in a popup content.
So If I understand it's about the parent transform CSS ? It seems, this bug is caused by same problem in firefox : https://github.com/CloudMade/Leaflet/issues/997
@mourner, do you plan to avoid css transform when in firefox and keep them in other browsers, as the google maps team choose to do ?

Now you can disable popup animation with zoomAnimation: false in popup options, and that removes the conditions that trigger this bug.
