This hands-on course covers the basics of working with data using Python in Excel including data structures, DataFrames, functions, and more. Join instructor and industry expert Joe Marini as he prepares you to get more out of these two leading technologies by wielding their respective strengths in tandem. Along the way, test out your new skills and technical know-how in the exercise challenges at the end of each section. Throughout the course, Joe highlights a handful of practical Python-in-Excel examples such as fixing dates with dateutil, generating a random sequence, creating a scatter plot with Seaborn, creating a Gantt chart, and extracting data using regular expressions.
Download or clone this repository to your local machine. The example files are organized by chapter number and each example has a finished state and a start state. The start state is used in each video to build toward the finished state.
- To use these exercise files, you must have the following installed:
- Microsoft Excel with the Python feature enabled
- Clone this repository into your local machine using the terminal (Mac), CMD (Windows), or a GUI tool like SourceTree.
