A Linux User Group (LUG) is a social group formed by people who uphold the principles of Free Software and are committed to spreading the use of operating systems based on the Linux kernel. LUGAN extends this foundation with a core focus on research, active development, and social impact. We are a community of researchers, developers, and enthusiasts dedicated to building, not just using.
We are based in Ancona, the capital city of the Marche region (Italy), renowned for its historic port, the blue waters of Portonovo and the scenic hills of Monte Conero; home to the Marche Polytechnic University (UNIVPM).
