DHIS2 Resources

This GitHub wiki is the place to find and share templates and tools for DHIS2. It is sponsored by LogicalOutcomes and is open to anyone who wants to share.

Who is this Repository for?

This repository is mainly for tools in development that haven't been readied for broad distribution. Eventually, when these tools are tested and refined, we hope to post them on DHIS2.org as part of their app store or training resources.

Students

Just learning? If you are taking this course as part of a DHIS2 QuickStart with LogicalOutcomes, you’ll meet once per week for 1.5 hours with a coach, and spend an additional 2 hours per week on homework. The course lasts six weeks.

If you are following the curriculum on your own, you can set your own pace.

Trainers

Responsible for teaching others? You came to the right place. All the necessary resources for conducting an informative session can be found here.

The online curriculum contains videos, demonstrations, readings, and practice exercises to help you implement and use DHIS2.

Implementers

To keep all of your work in one place, we have created a curriculum workbook, available in the Code section of this site, along with a curriculum answer book, which will allow you to check your work as you go.

Contact Us if you want to join as a contributing member of this repository. You’ll need to create a GitHub account, and we will add you to the group.

You may need to check with your donor or funder to get permission to share materials. Many project funders inexplicably put barriers around open access. Explain that sharing and open access benefit everyone: agencies shouldn't be creating solutions from scratch every time. We need to be able to build on each others' work.

Using the materials in this repository:

  • The materials in this repository are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International unless clearly stated otherwise. That means that anyone can copy, revise, use and share the materials without restriction for commercial or non-commercial purposes as long as they give recognition to the authors. If you are an author, please help us out by stating how you want to be attributed, e.g., LogicalOutcomes 2015, Title.

  • It's important to be gentle and appreciative with the folks who are sharing material. You may find typos, errors, and silly mistakes. Please make kind suggestions and encourage the community to be open by sharing your own tools and resources.

Searching the repository

To search the DHIS2 templates and tools, please enter your search term in the box at the top, and hit Enter. When you see the message, “we couldn’t find any code matching X”, click on Wikis, and you will see the matching search results.

About Logical Outcomes

LogicalOutcomes is a Canadian non-profit organization that provides evaluation and consulting support to NGO’s, non-profits, vendors, and funders, in order to support collective impact, and encourage positive social change. We only accept projects that allow us to share the tools and templates we create with the community, and we encourage others to do the same.
