Okay, my bad. I should've checked more closely. I see that repository already has "librs232" which, after a quick look, seems like the be renamed "luars232".
Yeah, when I initially included the package I decided not to split it between the C lib and lua binding. The librs232 provides both, the C library and the Lua binding. I will reconsider splitting the package on the next update.
Kindly include the "luars232" library (latest version is 1.0.3, or 1.0.3-1) from this git repository: https://github.com/ynezz/librs232
It allows one to access serial port (RS-232) on Linux, Windows, OSX (and BSD as well - I think) from a Lua script.
