VERGE

VERGE is a hybrid interactive video retrieval system, which is capable of searching into video content by integrating different search modules that employ visual- and textual-based techniques.

Developed in first semester of 2015 by ITI-CERTH. VERGE participated in TRECVID 2015 in the Instance search (INS) & Surveillance event detection (SED) tasks.

Functionalities provided:

  • Visual Similarity search
  • Visual concept-based search
  • Search by image example
  • Endless scrolling
  • Fast video navigation

An operational demo of the system is available http://mklab-services.iti.gr/vss2016/

Prerequisites:

  • A local server running to your pc

Instructions:

  • Unzip the files to your htdocs folder and explore VERGE interface using your browser
