I'm sure this has been discussed at some point, but it doesn't appear to have been posted.

The ODF tool sets a default scaling that results in reasonably-sized FODs & tensors when loaded. However for dixel ODFs / diffusion data mapped to SH coefficients, the glyphs are typically orders of magnitude too large at image open. Heuristically setting the default scaling at load time might come with a performance penalty but reduce user confusion.
