Hello, Patrick.

After reading your reply (issue 1573) I understood why I was mixing the versions: I currently have version 3.0 installed and need to import a file. On your website, https://laravel-excel.maatwebsite.nl/docs/3.0/getting-started/basics, when searching for "import" I got this URL as a result and didn't realize it was intended for version 2.1 (https://laravel-excel.maatwebsite.nl/docs/2.1/import/basics#docs).

Using 3.0 I can now export without any problem, but could not figure out how to import a file as the following syntax looks to be outdated:

Excel::load('file.xls', function($reader) {
    // reader methods
});

How can I find the import documentation for the version 3.0 (I tried some variations on ../docs/2.1/import.. but was not able to find it -- a google search was not successful as well.

TIA.

3.0 doesn't support imports yet. Please read our blog post: https://medium.com/@maatwebsite/laravel-excel-lessons-learned-7fee2812551

Sorry to say that, but without import it is hard to achieve the potential of the package and probably in most cases it is useless.

If I can help, just say how.
