I have one question:
is it possible to position the flyout at the bottom of the window?
this would be a great addition. in win8 metro apps is this appbar mostly on the bottom.
It might be possible, but would require some rework of the Flyout behaviour and animations.
No plans for it at this stage, but if you'd like to have a shot at implementing it I'm happy to review some code.
+100 Would be great for AppBar type of functionality. I make do with left and right now but would prefer bottom (and top).
@obiwanjacobi I will try it.
Is it worth writing an AppBar-style control rather than adding more complexity to the Flyout control?
Issue #345 top/bottom flyouts
take a look at my branch flyoutstopbottom https://github.com/punker76/MahApps.Metro/tree/flyoutstopbottom
decide whether it is useful or not. I have kept as simple as possible...
I was working on it, but I agree with @shiftkey: A new control is better.
@punker76 just did a quick review and test of your branch - looks good
@geovanisouza92 given the users are probably only interested in the fly-in, fly-out behaviour (and not talking about things like keyboard shortcuts to trigger it, or inbuilt icons, etc) I'm happy to proceed as is for now.
Just being mindful of the likely complexity that might come up as we're emulating multiple Windows Store Apps features in the one control.
