Ubuntu initializer

This script provides a easy way to setup an empty Ubuntu 15.10 installation.

This script configure the system with my preferences, but you can fork it and change it.

What the script do?

  • Create useful folders like:
  • /junk: Folder for random stuff
  • /junk/logs: Folder for logs
  • ~/dev: Folder for code, repos, etc...
  • Create Nautilus bookmarks for those folders
  • Add a custom terminal init message with useful info like node version...
  • Change the terminal prompt format
  • Install the followings applications:
