This issue is for discussion of the reference tool "D3 Geographies APIs".


D3 is a popular API for manipulating custom maps. It doesn't provide a built-in "viewer", but it could be relevant when talking about data formats & APIs.

Summarizing D3 capabilities is difficult because it is so different than the other frameworks being compared. https://mappingwithd3.com/feature-comparison/ is a useful reference from someone who's worked with it a lot. (Also a useful starting point for many of the other tools!)
