This has a lot of implied problems. One being that applications also wait while waiting for the animation to finish. I know I can just reduce the animation time, but I would really prefer that the animation didn't interfere with execution at all. I hope I'm not the only one.

Animation is done by Windows API.

Is it fixable? Is there something I can do on my end?

I don't see either problem with animation.
Unless you explain exactly what do you suggest or dislike there is nothing to fix.

Console Applications are not running until animation is completed. This is the problem.

What do you mean? They can't be "not running"...

They wait to run until the animation is complete.

I misunderstand you. What do you mean by "wait"?

I've uploaded a screen capture for an example.

  • Animation is processed by Windows
  • Window "captures" visual representation of the animated window before animation and obviously it is not updated during animation
  • But that does not means that "applications were stopped" - they continue to run and run and run
