How to participate
- Find a project that looks interesting. You can browse all our of repos on https://opensource.microsoft.com and filter by keyword, trending, stars, forks, tags, and more.
- Perhaps you already have a great idea for improving the project. If not, browse the list of open issues. My favorite tip: look for issues labeled help-wanted or good-first-issue.
- Make a Pull Request to improve the project’s code or documentation.
- [Important] Complete this form to make sure we enter you in the challenge and register your participation. We’ll send instructions for receiving your shirt after Hacktoberfest ends.
This project welcomes contributions and suggestions. Most contributions require you to agree to a Contributor License Agreement (CLA) declaring that you have the right to, and actually do, grant us the rights to use your contribution. For details, visit https://cla.microsoft.com.
When you submit a pull request, a CLA-bot will automatically determine whether you need to provide a CLA and decorate the PR appropriately (e.g., label, comment). Simply follow the instructions provided by the bot. You will only need to do this once across all repos using our CLA.
