I've got a successful deployment and am able to see resources via the web client. However, upon connection I am met with a general error. Investigating through Get-RdsDiagnosticActivities shows no session hosts available. The result of Get-RdsSessionHost shows my registered session host with a status of unavailable.

Is there some guidance on where to start troubleshooting this? Session host logs, events ?

@tiktb8 : Thanks for providing the feedback! Currently we are generating some Troubleshooting content, and I don't think we've hit this case as much so glad you pointed it out. If it shows as unavailable, try 1 of 2 things:

  • Check to make sure the VM is powered on.
  • Check to see if you used the same prefix when trying to create a host pool previously. If the exact same VM name already registered to Windows Virtual Desktop previously, then this one would fail to register and then would show up as unavailable.
