Prior to 4.7 if some files were tagged and one presses F3 (e.g. accidentaly when viewing consecutive files) he was warned:

Confirmation

Files tagged, want to cd?

[ Yes ] [ No ]

now he just gets it's selection gone, like he pressed enter.

Sorry, I had confirm_view_dir=0 it works for F3. Maybe there should be such an option for Enter/Left-Right (in Lynx-like motion)?
