Incorrect selection with alt+arrows

I has a strange file that confuses mc's block selection.

1. Please open attached file "151" in mcedit (locale ru_RU.UTF-8).
2. Move cursor to left upper corner with arrows keys.
3. Press Alt and down arrow. Wait while cursor moves down to the line savannah: Cannot copy to a directory called "*" #14. Do not unpress Alt.
4. Do not unpress Alt. Unpress down arrow and press right arrow.

Actual result: selection is not rectangular (151.png).
Expected result: rectangular selection.
