It would be nice if mc supports the ipython as a subshell. Ipython has no build-in filemanager, so integration with mc would be great! Ipython can be run with custom profile as system shell.

Cool idea, but unless someone contributes subshell integration (and even then, only if it's reliable and unobtrusive), it's a no. Closing for now.
