This version changes the skin server to a more reliable one.
Before, it was
minelpskins.voxelmodpack.com. Now it is
I'm going to see how everyone reacts to this change before doing a full release.
You will also need to re-upload your skin. Don't worry, uploading will be instantaneous now.
Update to 1.12
Illager textures (except vex) now use the usual pony format.
Mob metadata is no longer randomized. It's purely controlled by textures now.
Added support for pony metadata for all textures.
Some fixes to the skins menu
Note: This version includes support for rendering more than parrots on the shoulder. Forge may do something with this, or it may not. If it does, expect an update related to it.
Fix capes and elytras showing as same time.
Skin cache now properly handles when the player clear the skin
Any item can now be rendered on your head (this was a missing vanilla feature)
Fix hanging when loading several skins at once.
Fix head position while riding and sneaking
Player is now positioned correctly while elytra flying
Pony mobs can now wear elytras.
etag is now used for caching skins. (The md5 method never worked nor was ever implemented properly on the server)
