Changes from previous release

  • Implement global (including settings) dark/light theme
  • Updated target Android SDK to newer version - now requires user to opt-out from battery optimisation manually
  • Fix wrong sharedPref boolean key for autostart (Fixed issue preventing autorestart after device reboot...)
  • Security fix: Change PGP key encryption algorithm (affects NFC auth) from AES-ECB (Android crypto library default setting) to AES-CBC
    • To mitigate this, existing password data will be removed from device once setting activity is launched.

While maintaining spaghetti codes, this release introduces new function - fingerprint encryption/signature.

Next version (0.3) will be focusing on refactoring and bug fixing.

As always, this is not tested throughly and not intended for generic usage. Stay away if you want more stable software.

Bugs fixed from RC2

  • Improved PGP block detection - Now does not complain about few characters before - and after PGP block.
  • Exception handling when signature does not contain mail address (issue #8) - thanks @ibanferreira !

Changes from 0.12 Release

(From 0.2 RC Tag Contents)

Now you can decrypt / quick reply to PGP messages without typing your PGP password with mobile keyboard.
Especially useful if you are paranoid about other people's eye or CCTVs, or you have too long & complex password to type. Almost all NFC-based tokens are supported. Try them out!
(I personally use contactless payment supported credit card)

PGP key's password is stored securely in device - I tried my best to get both performance and security.
Tested with Nexus 5 - NFC tag authentication took about 0.2 seconds. Pretty fast, isn't it?
I'm worried about older devices, not tested but should be able to decrypt PGP password in 10 seconds.

  • Prevent crashing on clipboard content change in some devices

Release Candidate 2 of version 0.2

Some bugs fixed, API updated to v9, turned out I was already using IOpenPgpService2.

If there are no serious problems, I'll release this one.
