Request: Allow us to create units that are defined as illusions immediately, removing a lot of overhead from custom-made illusion abilities.

Reasoning: Currently, in order to create illusions - arguably a major dota mechanic - we have to first create an unit based on the hero to be copied, and then do a series of operations to "convert" that unit into an illusion.

This causes several problems, such as making it possible that such units are killed before being properly converted to illusions, granting kill bounties to the enemy team. Imagine, for example, a low-HP phantom lancer fighting in melee range of an enemy stampeding Centaur Warrunner - he'd create multiple "illusions" which would die instantly, granting massive amounts of gold to the enemy team.

Bonus: Other improvements which are unnecessary, but would improve quality of life greatly, would be:

  • Allow illusions to spawn with their parent hero's cosmetics (currently they have nothing equipped);
  • Allow illusions to copy their parent hero's current abilities, including their current level (useful for any game mode where hero abilities aren't static);
  • Allow illusions to copy their parent hero's currently equipped items (they spawn with an empty inventory);

Best regards!
