it doesnt need a big splash but we could ship a new one.

  • new html5shiv
  • geolocation test fixed
  • flexboxlegacy name without hyphen
  • cheaper webgl test
  • travis integration

all this v2.5.3...master

KuraFire commented Apr 18, 2012

We also need to update the site to use the latest version. 2.6 is a good opportunity to do that with.

aFarkas commented Apr 18, 2012

  • new yepnope1.5.4

Need to resolve touch story: #448 and #548

ryanseddon commented May 17, 2012

I'll try and sneak in the decoupling of testBundle too.

paulirish commented May 17, 2012

i think 2.6 should include the unbundling of testBundle

but 2.7 will be the "break up the modernizr.js core tests" release.

that part will naturally take more time and we should ship earlier rather
than later.

ryanseddon commented May 17, 2012

yeah that's what I meant still in the core but all separate.

paulirish commented Jun 20, 2012

I think touch events will be punted to v3. Msft's pointer model is something we have to consider.

new detects:

  • blob-constructor
  • blobbuilder
  • css-backgroundposition-fourvalues
  • css-backgroundposition-xy
  • css-calc
  • css-lastchild
  • css-mask
  • css-regions
  • css-subpixelfont
  • dart
  • network-xhr2
  • style-scoped
  • svg-filters
  • upload
  • vibrate
  • vibration

paulirish commented Jun 20, 2012

other updates

  • editorconfig
  • lots of inline documentation about detection weirdness.
  • remove all other prefixed sniffs on WebSocket, only need to check MozWebsocket. documentd.
  • remove extra check for Opera 11 input type=color bug
  • css mask detect is awesome

some other detects were significantly improved based on developer feedback

We can add move to gruntjs to the list now I've merged it in!

Google Cache snapshot Issue #1086

paulirish commented Jul 16, 2012

v2.6.0 pushed to the builder

so the site now reflects the latest release.. let's call this a soft launch. give it a look and test if you can. let me know if i missed anything.

ill finish things up tonight.

paulirish commented Jul 16, 2012

not sure if its just me, but the html5shiv thats downloading for me is v3.4; pretty sure it should be v3.6

hum actually looks like its the printshiv that's not working. although the normal shiv doesn't show version in build output so hard to say.

ryanseddon commented Jul 17, 2012

@ctalkington the print shiv is not selected in the build page just the shiv.

@ryanseddon im confused.. there is an option for printshiv on the build and download page?

ryanseddon commented Jul 17, 2012

by build I mean download page and yes there is an option to either just have the shiv included or the shiv and iepp. The dev link from the homepage just has the shiv option selected.

ok. maybe i wasn't clear enough. when you do a custom build with shiv + iepp, it doesn't get latest version still at v3.4.

see as it shows the build tool is still using v3.4 of html5-printshiv
