So I came across this issue, which points out that MPD sets an icon to the PulseAudio stream, in case such icon is present in the system. I didn't know that, and I also didn't know that MPD even had an official icon (sorry). Then I wondered why that icon isn't installed to /usr/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/apps/mpd.svg, as per the Icon Theme Specification:

Installing Application Icons
[...] Optionally you can install icons in different sizes. For example, installing a svg icon in $prefix/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/apps means most desktops will have one icon that works for all sizes. You might even want to install icons with a look that matches other well known themes so your application will fit in with some specific desktop environment.

Could you please add the SVG icon to the Makefile so it installs by default in all distros? Thanks!
