MPD from git/master, Debian testing x64, ALSA, USB audio interface without hardware mixer.

Playing sample *.dsf files http://www.2l.no/hires/ works but there is no software volume control. 0 mutes audio. Volume control on other codecs ok. No errors in logfile.

mpd.conf
audio_output {
        type            "alsa"
        name            "Lexicon Omega"
        device          "hw:Omega"
        mixer_type      "software"
}

/usr/local/bin/mpd /etc/mpd.conf --verbose --no-daemon

MPD has no code to change the volume of DSD. Until somebody volunteers to figure out how this works, this feature won't be available.
