RocksDB recently added wal_recovery_mode, which was a feature request from us (https://reviews.facebook.net/D38487). It added wal_recovery_mode DB option, which is enum type ranging across kTolerateCorruptedTailRecords = 0x00, kAbsoluteConsistency = 0x01, kPointInTimeRecovery = 0x02, and kSkipAnyCorruptedRecords = 0x03. kPointInTimeRecovery fits perfect on slaves, and master with semisync.
