Ben is a third-year graduate student in the Department of Psychology at Florida International University, specializing in Cognitive Neuroscience. His research interests include genetic and environmental factors involved in attentional bias and the effects early-life adversity on cognitive development of working memory. He also writes on the intersection between psychology and ideological conflict, advocating personal responsibility and the ability of people to set, plan, and reach goals as a means to alleviate tension among groups.
