Hello,

Im using SqlCe 4 as the persistence engine and I´m having problems when trying to commit anything larger than 8000 bytes.

When using SqlCe I think that the SqlDbType.Image type must be explicitly specified on the command parameter even when the column "Payload" in the database is of type Image. In the current implementation DbType.Binary is specified for all command parameters from what I can see.

This old support thread explains the problem:
http://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer/feedback/details/311412/sqlceparameter-limits-dbtype-binary-to-8000-characters-ssce3-5

Anyone else having this problem and are there any workarounds?

Hi frederik,
I have problem to config eventstore to work with SQLCE - (joliver#136) can you share your setup, it looks like it works for you.

Thank you
