# Arcane Table

The Arcane Table is Alkatraz's central hub for progression, research, and equipment modification. Access it by right-clicking any **Enchanting Table** in the world.

## Accessing the Arcane Table

1.  Find an **Enchanting Table** in the world (or place one down).
2.  **Right-click** it while holding any item (or nothing at all).
3.  A **choice menu** appears with two options:
    - **Arcane Table** — Opens the Arcane Table hub
    - **Enchanting Table** — Opens the vanilla enchanting table GUI

## Arcane Table Hub

The hub has three sub-menus:

| Option | Icon | Description |
|--------|------|-------------|
| **Research Library** | Bookshelf | Spend research points to unlock permanent upgrades and stat bonuses |
| **Magic Engineering** | Smithing Table | Apply rune engravings to equipment for trigger-based effects |
| **Progression** | Nether Star | Advance through magic circles to unlock stronger spells |

### Research Library

Unlock permanent upgrades and stat bonuses by spending Research Points earned through casting spells. See [Research](Research) for the full tree.

### Magic Engineering

Apply rune engravings to customize your equipment with passive attributes and trigger-based effects. See [Engravings](Engravings) for available runes.

### Progression

Advance through the 10 Magic Circles (Circle 0–9) to unlock stronger spells, increase max mana, and earn stat points. See [Progression](Progression) for details.

## Tip

If you want to use the vanilla enchanting table instead, simply select **"Enchanting Table"** from the choice menu. The same enchanting table block lets you access both systems.
