What is your suggestion?

checkbox in settings tab for it to always/only convert after gather

How will this improve Natro Macro?

helpful for converting after gather but not wasting time converting very low pollen/balloons after doing other tasks.
(could make it only convert after gather by setting convert time to 999 min, or just have that be the checkbox)
