This traceback is shown when running systemd-analyze:

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/run/current-system/sw/bin/systemd-analyze", line 23, in <module>
    from gi.repository import Gio
ImportError: No module named gi.repository

Probably a missing python module dependency?
NixOS version 0.2pre4454_979117b-789154b

This works for me now:

$ systemd-analyze
Startup finished in 4.851s (kernel) + 8.263s (userspace) = 13.115s

NixOS version: 0.2pre4596_cf3ef6a-62d7abf

It seems to me that systemd-analyze is no longer python script, but a regular (ELF) executable.

systemd-analyze (still) works, so I'm closing this.
