Either download from Cachix:

nix-store -r /nix/store/zahzvvv82s95bp19mhma397kn2djfqmc-q-text-as-data-2.0.0 \
  --option binary-caches 'https://cache.nixos.org/ https://r-ryantm.cachix.org/' \
  --option trusted-public-keys '
  r-ryantm.cachix.org-1:gkUbLkouDAyvBdpBX0JOdIiD2/DP1ldF3Z3Y6Gqcc4c=
  cache.nixos.org-1:6NCHdD59X431o0gWypbMrAURkbJ16ZPMQFGspcDShjY=
  '

(r-ryantm's Cachix cache is only trusted for this store-path realization.)

Or, build yourself:

nix-build -A q-text-as-data https://github.com/r-ryantm/nixpkgs/archive/78c9fe9a5352a16d3109427fb6c30b1e8146474e.tar.gz

After you've downloaded or built it, look at the files and if there are any, run the binaries:

ls -la /nix/store/zahzvvv82s95bp19mhma397kn2djfqmc-q-text-as-data-2.0.0
ls -la /nix/store/zahzvvv82s95bp19mhma397kn2djfqmc-q-text-as-data-2.0.0/bin

cc @Taneb for testing.

I haven't tested this yet, but two thoughts:

a) the GitHub for q has a tag for 2.0.4. Might be worth going straight for that
b) I think it now has support for Python 3 which I'd like to switch this to use.

Thank you for your contributions.
This has been automatically marked as stale because it has had no activity for 180 days.
If this is still important to you, we ask that you leave a comment below. Your comment can be as simple as "still important to me". This lets people see that at least one person still cares about this. Someone will have to do this at most twice a year if there is no other activity.
Here are suggestions that might help resolve this more quickly:

  1. Search for maintainers and people that previously touched the
related code and @ mention them in a comment.
  2. Ask on the NixOS Discourse. 3. Ask on the #nixos channel on
    irc.freenode.net.
