To run the simulation for $\varphi_i$, use

sh sim.bash disj 51

For $\psi_i$, use

sh sim.bash star_union 251

WARNING: second simulation takes a long time (over 15 hours on my system). Reduce the value of $N = 251$ for a faster but less significant result.
