I recall @psychobunny mentioning this a while back, so thought I'd make an issue out of it.

Being able to change what page is displayed as "home", so, for example, the homepage could be changed to Recent, or Popular etc.

Might be worth a "Request for Comments", see what others think?

You can do this already via plugins, or did you mean an ACP setting to change the routes altogether?

Yeah the route, thinking for those that want a stack overflow esque type forum. Rather than hacking it, support it. :)

A note about implementation, 0.5.1's "reload" functionality replaces the plugins Router, not the main router, so any solution here would need to maintain the existing router configuration.

A more elegant solution might be to have controllers.api.home return different api data depending on ACP setting (default: /)

  • rename home.tpl to categories.tpl in vanilla & lavender
  • rename home.js to categories.js in core
  • rename categories.tpl to categories-widget.tpl in widget-essentials
  • home.tpl has a global class called home it should really be categories fix the css after that change in lavender & vanilla
  • categoriesController.list builds a header, isn't this done in builderHeader/renderHeader?
