  • For those donations where the writer is not specified, 50% of those donations will be sprinkled to writers of our most popular content. The other 50% will go towards more syllabi creation (which you can be a part of as well!)

Steps to Writing a Syllabus

  1. Contact with your syllabus idea. It does not have to fall into our current categories, but that would be preferred.
  2. If we agree, we'll set up a shared Google Doc template that the syllabus will be written in.
  3. Read the documentation, How to Write a NoviceDock Syllabus. Writing a syllabus is slightly different than directly teaching, so it's important to understand how to write one.
  4. Check out some of our other syllabi for inspiration!
  5. Write :)
  6. Provide us with your name, bio, photo (optional), and any links you want to promote for yourself.

Throughout the process we'll read over the syllabus and comment, to make sure it's going in the right direction. If you would like an help from the community, let us know and we will try to arrange that.

Submit a Resource

Once a syllabus is posted, we don't like to stop there. Information is constantly changing and new better resources are always becoming available.

Why Submit a Resource?

  • Not every person has access to the education they want and deserve. Whether it be a financial issue, or just a high school that doesn’t offer a specific course, thousands of novices rely on people like you to help educate them. Be a part of that movement. Every little bit helps.

  • Unlike most platforms, we love self-made resources. It’s not spam to us. We judge every resource by its quality. If it’s up to our standard, and the community’s standard, we’ll add it to the platform. Prove to us why it meets the standard.

  • NoviceDock gets over 20,000 pageviews per month.

How to Submit a Resource

There’s only one step, email us the resource at Tell us which syllabus you’d like it to be a part of, and why.

Optional further steps:

  1. Subscribe to the NoviceDock subreddit so we can add/update your flair.
