Hello fellow Stratos players!
As you may know, we have combat skills in our RPG skills plug in, but without a way to use them, what are we to do? Some of you may know that I have been working on a little project, and thanks to the wonderful Forensiic for helping to test and PharoahMo as well, we are ready to bring our idea to the community.

We have spent the past couple of days developing a wave list and a class list, as well as a reward system; we will only need an arena and a plug-in to be able to use it. These things are prone to change as balance will definitely need to be tested on a larger scale than a couple of people with command blocks, but we believe that this will give an extra layer of teamwork to the community, as well as a way to implement combat skills and give players another way to obtain some hard to obtain items. The general idea will be to have 5 players maximum in the arena, which will hopefully contain a multitude of different ways to play, including raised areas of some sort and water, as well as the main flat ground.

As you can see below, we have been in discussions of balance, and these are the things that we settled to start with. The loot rewards can also be adjusted as needed, and kits can be added according to demand, possibly even for purchase with in game currency. Please give us feedback and further ideas for this.

I've used mob arena in the past. The key is to make the arena smallish. If you don't, the mobs that spawn from the multiple spawn points will fail to track the players appropriately, meaning they can easily be picked off. You will also need supply waves to refill the items for the alchemist/medic. Though, I question having them both since they could theoretically do the same thing. Also, drowned won't be a thing. That's a 1.13 mob.

I'm also not sure what Illusionist and strays are, unless they are more 1.13 plus mobs. Guardians won't do much unless there's water.

You also need to consider how many players will be allowed in at once. Given the scaling of RPG levels, it's very possible that having more than a couple in at once will severely lower the difficulty.

Thanks for the input, Vohras. I completely failed to state that we planned for a max of 5 players in the arena, and it seems to have slipped our minds that the Drowned were part of update aquatic. We will update accordingly once a replacement has been decided.

I think it's a good idea to give Stratos a use for those combat skills. I only have to say that Archer should at least get like a wooden axe or something or maybe increase the knockback on the stick, the mobs weren't going that much back. Also I don't think a masterball should be a reward, because even though the Mob Arena seems hard enough, with 5 people getting used to it can be easy and then there would be too many Masterballs out there.
