The Erudi Covenant is founded upon the righteous moral of the untamed and unlimited pursuit of knowledge - its scholars dedicate the very fabric of their beings, metaphorically and physically, to their constant chase of scientific and magical discovery. The Erudi base themselves in a converted mausoleum many kilometres from the nearest town, and under a constant barrage of relentless blizzards and hail. The poor weather conditions keep outsiders well beyond the bulwark of their monolithic walls protecting their precious knowledge, and only cease to the rhythm at which the hearts of the purest recruits beat.
They are lead by their Prophet, Astrid Fire-Bane - A woman with sheets of platinum blonde hair flowing from her scalp and skin as white as the snow she encompasses herself and her Covenant with. She is a master of more arts than are known to exist. A champion at martial arts to rival a Sawk, and a singer to make even a Froslass envious. She and her acolytes follow in the footsteps of the unknown, beyond the reaches of humanity, and therefore deify the Timespace Triad: Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina. Some say Astrid is the female personification of the trio, and that she has merely yet to discover her innermost aura. Ultimately, however, most Erudites follow the same proverb: "To gain power through the utilisation of knowledge." - To represent this belief, Starmie is used as a symbol for the Covenant.
The motto to which every individual lodging within Astrid's walls abide by is "Sic itur ad Astra" - "And so, we go to the stars." as motivation to lead their research into realms of magic undiscovered by man, mob, or beast, and to never look at one's feet in a time of desperation. Every true member of the Erudi Covenant will always persevere, no matter how astronomical the odds may be.
