As we deploy multiple times per day in an automated way to certain environments, it would be useful to also show, next to the date, the time of the deployment. So at one glance you can see if it was a recent deployment. The version numbers are useful of course, but not for non developers.

So a feature request, not a bug and if this is the wrong place, please say so.

Thanks for the suggestion, this is definitely the right place for it.

We have some issues with space on the dashboard that might cause trouble here - would it be satisfactory if the time was shown in the popup that appears on hovering with the mouse cursor?

Told you we were fast ;)

I tested hovering over the status indicator and saw that it wasn't there, looks like we already title the date span.

@mivano does this cover your needs?

Cheers,
Nick

I know the tooltip provides the full date, but I'm looking for that quick overview without hovering over item. We do multiple releases a day to different environments.
Space is limited, but personally I'm not interested in the year. So a

Jan 15th, 13:45

is more suitable for us.

or even

Jan 15th '14, 13:45

or

15/Jan/14, 13:45

Maybe something to make configurable in the dashboard settings?

Yes please add the time - always visible.

I used to modify the html in v1.x to display the time...

For now I'm going to close this, but don't worry, we do have plans to do it - this is going to be done as an example plugin when we build our plugin system very soon:

http://octopusdeploy.uservoice.com/forums/170787-general/suggestions/3133240-allow-people-to-write-plug-ins-add-ons-with-an-sdk

The idea is that things like this, which are quite useful to some but perhaps not to the majority, can be better supported (and result in less option overload in the product) by plug-ins.
