Can user use the custom function in normal version? #7

In the latest of insider version, it works. but my users are not in the insider version. I worried about that it dont works.

If there are some plan in the progress , please let know. Thank you.

We haven't yet announced the date when it will be Generally Available to all Excel users yet. For now it's just insiders. Sorry for the wait!

This is deeply concerning to me, as a defender. I really hope this is off by default if it ever goes into GA.

Excel Javascript custom functions are a component of Office add-ins. A couple of notes there to clarify: They need to be trusted and installed by a user\IT admin. The javascript code runs inside it’s own app container like an add-ins UI frame. A developers custom function code does not live in the document. For more information, you can see here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/office/dev/add-ins/concepts/privacy-and-security. If you have additional concerns we’d love to understand more in detail. thanks.
