TenFourFox Intel

This unofficial Intel version is based on TenFourFox FPR2 and is not up-to-date with the latest FPR.

  • Intel 32-bits version (x86) for Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger: please download TenFourFox.app.zip;
  • Intel 32-bits version (x86) for Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard: please download TenFiveFox.app.zip;
  • Intel 32-bits and 64-bits version (x86+x64) for Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, 10.7 Lion and 10.8 Mountain Lion: please download TenSixFox.app.zip;

32-bits versions requires a Intel® Core™ CPU or later. 64-bits versions requires a Intel® Core™ 2 CPU or later. 200 MiB of hard disk space is required and at least 512 MiB of RAM (1 GiB recommended).

The three version released here all have FFmpeg support enabled in it.
They are also localized, please see this wiki page for more information on how to change the locale.

FFmpeg Enabler

You can download it here: FFmpeg Enabler.app.zip.
Please see the wiki for more information.
This version of FFmpeg Enabler includes FFmpeg 2.8.15 (libavcodec 56.60.100).

Release notes and additional information

This version is based on TenFourFox FPR4 with additionnal bugfixes documented in #8.
In particular:

  • A bug causing blinking items of not being rendered correctly when accelerated off-main-thread-composition is enabled (affecting only TenFive and TenSixFox) (Mozilla bug 1321803);

It also includes the specific changes of the previous Intel version.
This version is furnished without any support.

Note for builders

If you're building with Clang you'll need to change the file /dom/base/DirectionalityUtils.cpp accordingly with #4 (comment) (this is not in code in order to avoid a future annoying merge conflict).
You'll also need to modify the files /modules/brotli/dec/port.h according with classilla@dbe5530#diff-496ede981d9d82824370b7293f5c9876 and /modules/woff2/src/port.h according with classilla@3c42133 (will be solved in TenFourFox FPR5).
Finally, there's also new prerequisites concerning the needed C++ STL in rder to build TenFourFox. This is documented in the wiki.

Release notes and additional information

As explained in #6, no binary release are furnished for the FPR3 version. Please use the newest release.

This version is based on TenFourFox FPR3 with additionnal bugfixes documented in #6.
In particular:

  • Completed implementation of Mozilla bug 1389974 in order to include the patches for the plugins API (which isn't included in PowerPC TenFourFox because plugins are disabled);

It also includes the specific changes of the previous Intel version.
This version is furnished without any support.

Note for builders

If you're building with Clang you'll need to change the file /dom/base/DirectionalityUtils.cpp accordingly with #4 (comment) (this is not in code in order to avoid a future annoying merge conflict).
