OpenELEC has not seen any code commits since May 2017. In very real terms the project is no longer developed.

The entire OpenELEC team (except one person) left at the beginning of 2016 and started LibreELEC (https://libreelec.tv/2016/03/hello-world/) which has been growing ever since.

Under normal circumstances I would not make a post like this but I do not think it is fair to let user enter the holiday period with no access to alternatives.
