Web UI slow on iPhone with iOS 15 Safai

Running wifi firmware 2.9.1. The Web UI was slow but serviceable on an iPhone with iOS 14. After upgrading to iOS 15, the Web UI is extremely slow on Safari. Loading takes 10+ seconds. Sending any command such as changing backlight color, which used to be instant, now can take 5 seconds.

The UI is snappy on desktop so this may be related to how the newer mobile Safari handles JavaScript.

I just tried accessing the web UI using Safari from an iPhone with iOS 14. There is no delay or lag. Everything works fine speed wise. So it looks like an issue with Safari on iOS 15.

OpenEVSE WiFi V2.x is now archived, the current maintained version is OpenEVSE V4.x , upgrading from V2.x to V4.x requires a WiFi module hardware upgrade to ESP32.

A workaround could be to try using Chrome on iOS 15?

I tried both Firefox and Chrome on iOS15 with the same result. This is not a feature I use often I will just use a computer when I need to access the UI.
