As an initial demo for Grid, we would like to show how to:

  1. Deploy a model to a working grid node with a http/JSON endpoint for people to use it for predictions.
  2. Use a grid client to predict against a hosted model
  3. Deploy an encrypted model to a working grid node with an http/JSON endpoint for people to use it for encrypted predictions.
  4. Use a grid client to predict against a hosted encrypted model.

To do this, we're going to work with a use case for Skin Cancer detection:

The Dataset: https://github.com/dasoto/skincancer
The Model: https://towardsdatascience.com/skin-cancer-classification-with-machine-learning-c9d3445b2163

Issues:

(letters indicate Issues which can happen concurrently, numbers imply blocking dependencies)

  • Part 1: hosting a model on a grid worker - #204
  • Part 2a: deploying a model to a grid worker - #205
  • Part 2b: querying a hosted model using grid client (making predictions) - #206
  • Part 2c: hosting an encrypted model on a grid worker - #207
  • Part 3a: deploying an encrypted model on a grid worker - #208
  • Part 3b: show a notebook demo for deploying and querying a hosted (but not encrypted) model using the functionality from 2a and 2b. - #209
  • Part 3c: querying an encrypted model on a grid worker - #210
  • Part 4: same as 3c but with an encrypted model and encrypted prediction. - #211
