Heli and plane husks explode at start #15562

If you set them with the mapeditor on any map this will happen, you hear a big explosion at start then.

Doesnt happen with the transport helicopter

This is normal, and the expected behavior.

In this case, 'husks' doesn't mean some immobile decoration husk on the ground, but rather the falling aircraft when it's shot down. As pre-placed actors will start at zero height, they explode immediately.

The transport heli is the only aircraft for which someone has made a 'crash site' husk sprite.

IMO these husks should not be placeable in the editor at all.
