The feels when you accidentally delete a map when you are nearly finished. :(
having no way to recover the said map is very unfortunate.

What does your map making process look like and when in that process can you accidentally delete your map?

In this last instant the process went something like this:
Come to a fork in the development of the map.
Save a "newmapv2"
Continue working on that path.
Eventually finish the map.
Rename the finished map back the same as the original.
Go back and delete the unfinished versions of the maps.
Close the client.
Open the client later to recheck finished map and find that it's been deleted.

If a map has the same name as another then when deleting 1 map both will be deleted. The other version of the map will remain there as long as the client is open(making you think you didn't delete it) and you can recover it by resaving the map. If you close the client though it will be gone when you come back.

Obviously the lesson would be not to have the maps with the same names but I've also just straight up deleted the wrong map before too.

This sounds difficult to do for all platforms.
