There is no line damage yet, making disruptors, railguns and sonic tanks practically useless.

This will want parameters for damage falloff with distance from the source, line width, and possibly damage falloff with each target hit (potentially useful for machine guns or snipers).

Can someone please assign this to me?

EDIT: ETA = By 2014/08/17.
WIP can be found at https://github.com/UberWaffe/OpenRA/tree/LineImpactProjectile

Currently the basics are working, but it still needs some work and testing.

Looking at this a second time, Raycasting makes no sense for this. A proper collision detection algorithm is needed. fun.

That looks like a direct copy of our existing LaserZap projectile?

You're mistaken. That is the rendering effect for the TS disruptor beam.

It's based heavily on the LaserZap, but it does render a sonic beam. It does not, however, do line damage. It looks like I created a function for it (I've been on hiatus for a while) but couldn't figure it out.
