Ability to diff parks #2969
Comments
I think single player group parks will become less popular as multiplayer becomes more stable. |
I think that it mostly depends on area permissions. That would enable server owners to restrict each user to build in a specific area. |
That's a great idea, I like it. Are you thinking of having it as a command line option, much like starting a headless server, or actual visuals showing the differences? Other useful to show would be path pieces, path additions, staff members, number of guests, amount of new guests, staff changes including their tasks and possibly patrol area changes, and maybe even average guest stats. |
Other things to diff: map size, number of park entrance and their location, surface height and shape, water level. |
More things to diff: ride settings and stat changes, ride status (closed, open, testing), crash status, ride name change, number of custom strings and their values, colour scheme change and usage, surface types for both ground and walls. |
Over at forums group parks seem to be all the rage these days, where a group of people take turns on working on a park, which then they share for the next person to have a go at. We even have such a park featured in our title sequence.
