When you write a protocol now, actions are largely restricted by wells (aspirate in slot 4 well 'A1', dispense in slot 6 well 'B2'). That's great for pixel art, but what if I want a work of art with smooth lines?

I just want to use all 11 slots as my canvas and have the robot draw me stuff. A few ideas here:

  • You can program the robot to draw a snowman or a unicorn or anything by having it move to a set series of point. Make functions for different images.
  • You can tell the robot exactly where to go by live clicking locations on a screen (essentially teaching the robot how to draw something as you create it yourself). You can save the series of locations you clicked as a function, and the robot can make it over and over again.
  • Strap something onto your arm that tracks your motion and have the robot go wherever you go. I suggest limiting the max speed the robot can move though...

Whatever you do, if the robot can draw a 3-slot-tall unicorn on demand, I call it a success.

You can’t perform that action at this time.
