I think, but not sure '?' required, by e.g. SQLite, not tested (other might be ok with as is, but all with this?). Also BETWEEN less redundant.

This probably fixes SQLite that was complained about being broken with this, but I'm not sure it doesn't break other databases. Might ? sometimes, and sometimes not be substituted with 'date', already, and then on those databases with ''date''?
