Who's affected

You are affected if you are using the Azure Service Bus Transport (Legacy) and ServiceControl 4.5 or later, and your connection to Azure Service Bus has a high latency.

Symptoms

After upgrading to ServiceControl version 4.5 or later, significantly stale data is shown in ServiceInsight and/or ServicePulse due to degraded message ingestion throughput in ServiceControl. For example, performance monitoring diagrams notably lag behind actual system activity.

The degradation in message ingestion throughput correlates with network latency between ServiceControl instances (ServiceControl, ServiceControl.Audit or Monitoring) and Azure Service Bus.
