Error message:

error[E0658]: access to extern crates through prelude is experimental (see issue #44660)

It's seems to be an issue with the time package.

Thanks to cheapmon from reddit for the report.

I encountered this as well on Mac OSX 10.14.1
ran rustup update and after waiting to update to 1.30.1 I was able to successfully install this using cargo

I would suggest just adding "Update your toolchain" to the Prerequesites in the README.
