Comments
From abinaya.narayanan@citi.comDear Team, Good Day! We are from CITI Application Readiness Team, need your assistance in order to gather info about application compatibility and support for Windows 10. We would like to know whether the below application is compatible and supported for Win 10 (64 Bit) and Citrix Xen App ( 6.5 or latest). If you haven't tested , could you please provide us a tentative date of when we can reach you . Application Name : Perl v5.8.3 If the above version is not compatible with Windows 10. Then do we have any higher version/replacement which compatible with Windows 10 and Citrix Xen App (6.5 or latest). Thanks in Advance |
From @jkeenanPerl runs on all versions of Windows. |

What is your definition of compatible with Windows 10? Why do you think Perl is not Windows 10 compatible? Where did you obtain your Perl 5.8.3 EXE? Are you using ActivePerl, Strawberry Perl or did you compile your own Perl binary? Generally, all 32 bit perl.exe binaries execute on Windows 2000 and up. All 64 bit perl.exe binaries execute on XP 64-bit Edition/Server 2003 and up. There are a couple permutations of certain perl versions compiled with Visual C 2012/2013/2015, that will not execute on less than Vista. -- |
